NAPPS Conference 2016 - Albuquerque
Wow what a conference!! What an amazing place and what an amazing program our Administration and Board put together for this year's conference. If you were unable to attend, please, please talk to anyone that attended or regularly attends these conferences. They are not to be missed. We will be in New Orleans next year May 18-20, 2017 and I highly recommend you be there. Mark your calendars.
We had an amazing presentation by Nicole Bocra, CFE. She presented Skip Tracing: New Tools-New Approach. I found it very informative and enlightening. I definitely left this seminar with some new ideas and approaches to locating individuals.
The second presentation was put together by our own Eric Vennes and Paula Ashcraft; Compliance: How You Will Be Affected. No matter whether or not you believe this will affect you it was made perfectly clear if you deal in any work regarding financial services, i.e. debt collection, there is a strong probability you may have to be financially compliant in order to continue serving papers for the financial industry. This is not something that will happen today or tomorrow but it is coming down the pike and NAPPS is staying ahead of it. To that end, NAPPS will be launching a financial compliance program that will be available to NAPPS members only very soon.
