Publication of the Good Practice Guide of the CEPEJ on enfor

At its 26th plenary meeting held in Strasbourg on 10 and 11 December 2015, the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice Council of Europe (CEPEJ) adopted the Guide to Good Practices of execution of court decisions

On 17 December 2009 the Council of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted the CEPEJ Guidelines on implementation. The Working Group of the CEPEJ on quality of justice (CEPEJ-GT-QUAL) wanted to take a new step in the treatment of the issue of the implementation by developing a Good Practice Guide on enforcement of court decisions.

This Guide was commissioned by the CEPEJ for the UIHJ. It was written by Guillaume Payan, HDR lecturer at the University of Toulon (France), member of the CDPC-JCE (UMR CNRS 7318 DICE) and Director of the Legal Unit of the UIHJ.

The Good Practice Guide is a practical tool for all countries seeking to optimize the execution of court decisions, in strict compliance with the principles promoted by the Council of Europe and included in the marble of the European Convention human rights.

The UIHJ is particularly proud to have helped seal the CEPEJ with a new stone of this beautiful democratic edifice.
