Hague Service Convention Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Gary Crowe and Sue Collins attended a special celebration in Washington DC as part of the 50th anniversary of the Hague Service Convention.  The seminar lasted 1 day and was attended by many judges, professors, and attorneys from the United States and several other countries who use the convention.  The seminar was held at Georgetown University law school and was also attended by our good friend, Christophe Bernasconi, who is now the General Secretary of the Hague Conference.

Mathieu Chardon from the UIHJ intervened as one of the speakers at this conference. He informed the attendees that the Service Convention actually came to life because of the UIHJ and it's quest in finding harmonization in the service and enforcement of process across country boarders. The UIHJ sits as an observer and consultant to the Hague Conference representing process servers and enforcement officers throughout the world.
