NAPPS Technology Committee Report 8-8-2015

I have taken on this commitment with great enthusiasm and a desire to enable NAPPS to be more interactive with its members and the general public, while bringing greater value to our members.

One of my goals is the redesign of the NAPPS website. My committee has worked tirelessly on the build out of new, more robust website to provide users with a modern feel and enhanced capabilities, while being mobile responsive. The website has been designed and built on the premise of providing users with a modern day website with easy to use features. We have also added the social media widgets, providing a fast and easy way to connect with NAPPS; along with our new document trading platform (Secure Document Trading Service) allowing members of NAPPS to send and receive documents free of charge with attorneys, paralegals, and anyone else via our website. I will make a presentation during board meeting on the design, features and concept of the new proposed site for board approval and launch.

I have signed up NAPPS on all major social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+ and YouTube in order for members, non-members and the general public engage with NAPPS. We have also installed on the new proposed website an RSS feed enabling members and prospective future members to opt into our feed making NAPPS and even greater resource. We will be posting information and updates on a regular basis to inform members of the latest news, technology and legislative issues around the country in order to make NAPPS a premier source for news and information.

I believe these changes are essential for the forward growth of the association, and will provide our members with additional benefits and value. I will continue to find and implement new ways to improve the website, while improving our organic ranking for search engine optimization. I am always open to any suggestions from a member who would like to give their input to better serve the association.

I am currently looking into several technology conferences held around the country that may be beneficial for the association to market to law firms, collection agencies and insurance companies to connect with our members. In closing I will continue to look for ways to enhance association through different avenues of technology.
