How To Become A NAPPS Member

The National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS) is the nation's largest community of professional process servers and the first resource for credible information regarding the profession. By becoming a member of NAPPS, you will be part of this association representing our profession and recognized not only in the United States, but worldwide.

You will be listed in the NAPPS database of professional process servers, which is a collection of the most outstanding individuals in the industry and is used as a reference guide by numerous law firms and individuals seeking to have legal documents served. This directory is easily accessed on the NAPPS website.

Membership is on an individual basis. Each member is expected to adhere to high ethical standards and have a thorough understanding of the NAPPS Code of Ethics on which NAPPS prides itself. We have an Arbitration and Grievance procedure for those who violate the NAPPS policies.

What are the membership requirements?

  • No felony convictions that have not been expunged or pardoned.
  • Affiliated with the process serving profession for a minimum of one year.
  • Must abide by the NAPPS Bylaws and Code of Ethics.
  • Provide a copy of a valid driver's license.
  • Pay $175.00 annual dues and $25.00 application fee.

Next Steps After Applying

Screening

The names of all applicants shall be published to the membership. If no objection is received within thirty (30) days after publication, the applicant is deemed accepted.

Objections

If an objection is received within thirty (30) days, the application will be held in abeyance until the applicant submits a written reply to the objection or appears in person at a board meeting to answer personally. If no written reply or waiver of right to reply is received, the application shall be considered rejected and applicant’s dues refunded.

As a member, you are expected to pay dues of $175.00. This amount will be prorated according to the date you are accepted and are due yearly by June 30th.
