Oregon Bill Passes
Oregon HB 2618 has passed and will become effective 1/1/2018. It raises the fees to be collected by the sheriff as follows:
- $45 for serving a summons, subpoena, citation, order or similar document to one person at a residence, $25 per person if two or more defendants are at one residence;
- $80 for seizure and enforcement of judgments plus reasonable expenses for time to enforce;
- $50 for sheriffs deeds or conveyance of property;
- Mileage cannot be collected, however, any service involving travel in exces of 75 miles can be charged an additional fee not to exceed $45.
